The premium Bilt card. Points on rent or mortgage with no transaction fee, 2X on everything else, and a welcome bonus that finally makes the fee easy to swallow in year one.
50,000 Bilt Points plus Bilt Gold status after $4,000 of non housing spend in your first 3 months, so rent and mortgage payments don’t count. You also get $300 in Bilt Cash when you’re approved.
50,000 x 1.55c = $775 in points, plus $300 Bilt Cash (worth about $75), for $4,000 of everyday spend
Bilt Points transfer 1:1 to its airline and hotel partners (Accor is 3 to 2). We count them at 1.55 cents each, the number in the math above. It only holds if you transfer to partners. Use them for rent credit or statement credits and they’re worth a lot less, so count it lower if that’s you.
You pay rent or a mortgage, you’d put real everyday spend on one card, and you travel enough to use a lounge and book a couple of hotel stays through Bilt. If you only want points on rent, the no fee Blue Card gets you the same housing rewards.
If you pay housing and travel a few times a year, the credits cover most of the fee and the bonus is gravy. If you won’t book hotels through Bilt, the math gets thin fast. Check the offer terms before you apply. Numbers change.
